This month has been a whirlwind of events for me. Has your April kept you on your toes?
First. I attended our ACFW conference in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Being a board member attached a few extra duties to my schedule for that weekend. Our guest speaker, Susan May Warren, was outstanding teaching many attendees with her words of wisdom. If you’d like some additional awesome reading, check out her website. www.susanmaywarren.com
Second. My husband had rotator cuff surgery on his right shoulder. His right hand is his dominant hand, so needless to say, we’ve had a fun time. He had this same surgery many years ago on his left side, but as you age, it gets a little tougher.
Third. Easter. Easter is over, but is it? Some of you may have watched your children or grandchildren hunt Easter eggs. Maybe you went to brunch with your family and friends or attended your place of worship. Easter is never over for Christians. Without Christ’s redeeming love for us, we always have hope for the future. It’s a little sad that when many think of Easter as the Easter bunny, colored eggs, and candy. Easter is the holy day of hope and promise.
I wrote a little about our origins in another blog concerning our ancestry, but where is our true ancestry? Only you can answer that question.
May will be a busy month for you, too. Weddings, graduations, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day. Celebrate each one fully. Until next time …
